Racine – Adarryl LeSedrick McWhorter was born on December 10, 1971 to Lena McWhorter and Darrell Bell in Racine, Wisconsin.  Adarryl received his formal education at J.I Case High School and received post-secondary education at Gateway Technical College.  In his leisure time, he enjoyed bowling, playing pool, dominoes and cooking.

Adarryl LeSedrick McWhorter, age 46, departed this life on November 18, 2018. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Cathrine and Robert Barker.  He is survived by his son, Cameron McWhorter; Grandson, Javion McWhorter; Mother, Lena McWhorter; Father, Darrell Bell; four grandparents, Grady and Ilena Cobb, Catrie and Dorthy McWhorter; Brother and Sister In-Law, Shauntae (Roniesha) Conners; Sister, LaTonia Woods; two Nieces and five Nephews; Special friends, Danny McWhorter, Kecee Bostick, Alglozia Kennedy and Keith Simmons.

Adarryl was many things to many different people. He was out spoken, honest, funny, moody easy going, and a great listener, but most importantly he was a strong loving son, father, brother, grandson and friend.  He loved putting other people first and taking care of everyone around him.  He always had jokes to balance out the intuitive awareness he had on politics and life.  He was affectionately called “Big D” and recognized for his joyful and positive attitude along with his fashion sense for Timberlands and Kangaroo hats.  Adarryl could cook anything just from one taste of food.  He was a simple guy who could cook anything from home cooked chili to Chinese food.  Along with his amazing cooking, he always provided a listening ear and some good advice to go with it.  Adarryl was truly one of a kind and will sadly be missed.

A Celebration of His Life will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, 6:00pm, in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI.  Visitation will be in the Chapel from 4:00 – 6:00pm.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Brian and the rest of the staff, we just wanted to take a moment to thank you for handling every detail of our mom’s (Vera Miller’s) funeral so expeditiously and flawlessly. Being here in North Carolina, I was worried about getting mom back to WI which was her wish. All I had to do was make one phone call to your office and you seamlessly got her from Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC back to WI.

All of the arrangements were so impeccable; pictures, book for signing, flowers, thank you and acknowledgement cards, arrangements with Graceland Cemetery, and even playing our slideshow with music and photos, and getting it to loop properly.

You took so much worry off of me and my siblings by professionally stepping in and handling everything for us. I was going a little crazy thinking I had to do it all, but you helped so much that we just needed to share these thoughts and feelings with others. Thank you for everything,

– Vicky Coerper, Janice Miller, Kenny Miller and Monica Bailey
