Mount Pleasant – Andrea Ann “Andie” (nee: Aiello) Malsch, age 76, passed away peacefully at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Friday, March 18, 2022.

Andrea was born in Racine on October 22, 1945 to the late Arthur and Marie (nee: Sontag) Aiello. She graduated from St. Catherine’s High School and went on to attend Whitewater School of Education. Andie was a longtime member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.  She loved to work on all kinds of projects.  When Andie got older and wasn’t able to help, she was still involved from the sidelines. She was an avid Packer fan and had a great appreciation of fine arts, she truly enjoyed all of the productions of Racine Theatre Guild. Grandma Andie loved spending time with her entire family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Christie (Brian) Johnson; son, Rick Malsch; grandchildren, Nikki & Jake Johnson; Amelia & Brodie Malsch; sister, Marcia (Steve) Priske; nieces & nephews, Rob (Elizabeth) Priske, Eric (Nicole) Malsch, Lori (Chopper) Hribar, David (Lisa) Malsch; faithful friend of more than 45 years, Marge (Les) Hoover; extended family, Jeni & Megan Johnson; other special relatives & friends.

    Christie and Rick,
I was so surprised to see your mom passed. We still kept in touch. She seemed to be doing pretty well the last time we talked. We sure had some good times. I’ll miss her. Prayers to you and your family. -Darlene (aka Mrs. G)

I am sorry for the loss of your Mom. She was a special lady. I remember Mrs. Malsch from the 70’s, when she volunteered her time, care and love to the students at St. Rita’s School. During the years there, she invited students in the “Electives Program” to her home and taught them the art of “Quilling”. I made a turtle plaque, with your Mom’s guidance, for my Mom. Still have it. Mrs Malsch had a beautiful inviting smile, encapsulating hug and a look to scare you when you (I) was getting out of hand. Very special lady.

Dear Langendorf Family,

There are no words to describe how thankful and loved we felt during our Grandpa’s funeral service. We are so lucky to know you as friends and we will be forever grateful for everything you have done for us and for Grandpa Mario throughout his lifetime and after his death. He loved you all and enjoyed sharing so many great times with you in the barbershop and as neighbors. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for all your caring ways and thoughtfulness and extend our appreciation to all at the funeral home who made Mario’s service so memorable.
