Arthur Bester; 76, peacefully passed away on January 10, 2022 at Ascension All Saints in Racine, WI.

Arthur “Boe” Lee Bester was born October 18, 1945 in Rose Hill, MS.  He was the oldest of three children born to the late Reverend Fisher Junior and Mittie Lee Bradley-Bester. “Boe”, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, attended North Side High School in Rose Hill, MS.

At a young age, Boe united with East Galilee Missionary Baptist Church of Rose Hill, MS under the pastorship of the late Reverend J. H. Morris. He had a great love and admiration for his grandmother and grandfather.

He later met the late, Rebecca (nee: Buckley) Bester in Enterprise, MS and in 1966, they were united in marriage. To this union two children were born, Angela and Gerald. When an opportunity came, in 1968, Boe relocated his family to Racine, WI.

Boe took extreme pride in his children. He was a hard worker and family man. After coming to Racine, he worked at American Motors (Daimler Chrysler) until his retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed small hobbies such as vintage shopping, fancy cars and driving listening to old-school music. He enjoyed eating southern foods and visiting family and friends. He also enjoyed reminiscing with and talking to his brothers and sisters about growing up in the South.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Helen Brown and brother, Reverend Jonathan Jordan; special friends, Henry Lee. Mr. Ed and brother-in-law, George Buckley. Cherishing his special memories are daughter, Angela (Thomas Jeff) Bester-Lambert of Mt. Pleasant, WI; son, Gerald Bester of Kenosha, WI.; two sisters, Opera (Joe) Bender of Gulf Port, MS; Johnnie Mae Pierce of Laurel, MS; two brothers, Kenny (Cynthia) Jordan of Laurel, MS; Jon E. Jordan of Glendale, CA; grandchildren, Treazure Bester, TreVelle Lambert, Gerald Bester II, Armani Lambert and Jaylin Lambert all of Racine; 5 great-grandchildren; special friend, John Goodwin and a host of other relatives and friends.

Boe was a strong, proud and good man. He is loved and will be missed by many!

A private family memorial will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

My husband, Tom, died on Jan. 24, 2015. From that life-changing day and still now, Gary and his sons have been at my side taking care of me, advising me, and guiding me with their sensitive, caring, and efficient expertise. I have heard from friends and family how perfect and wonderful the funeral service was (it was a blur for me), and I have the beautiful obit, memorial booklets, CD rom of slide show, celebration candle, portrait, and even personalized thank you cards to provide memories and comfort during difficult days ahead. My heart is full of thanks and appreciation to Gary Langendorf and his entire family.
