In Loving Memory of Diana L. (nee: Zimmerman) Jarstad
November 20, 1953 – December 29, 2021

Diana Jarstad, age 68, passed away at Ascension All Saints on December 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Richard A. Zimmerman and Catherine (nee: Neilsen) Zimmerman on November 20, 1953. On September 2, 1970, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Randolph F. Jarstad, Sr. Diana and Randolph enjoyed an amazing fifty-one years of marriage.
Diana lost her battle with lung and heart disease on December 29, 2021, when the angels above called on her to join them. She will be welcomed by many friends and family with open arms. Although she will be greatly missed by many here on earth, she is no longer in pain.
Diana worked as head waitress at DeRango’s the Pizza King on Washington Avenue in West Racine for over twenty-five years. She was very good at what she did. She loved talking and serving the community; her life was full of love, laughter, and smiles. Along with her husband, she loved classic cars. They owned many in their years together. She loved GTO’S the most. She relished putting the top down and just cruising side by side with her love. She enjoyed going to Great Lakes Dragway and watching her sons race. She would also grab her jar of change and take off to the casino, a force to be reckoned with. Again, she lived her life to the fullest with lots of love and laughter with the family she adored.
Diana is survived by her husband, Randolph f. Jarstad, Sr; four children, Randolph (Heather) Jarstad, Jr., Tracy Fasick, Scott Jarstad, and Christopher (Lynn) Jarstad, Sr; former daughter-in-law, Lisa Jarstad, whom she loved as her own; one brother, Ronald (Lisa) Zimmerman, of Racine; two sisters, Pamela Strasburg and Penny (Kevin) Petersen, all of Rhinelander; ten grandchildren, Brittany (Michael) Genther, of Michigan, Lukas Jarstad, William J. Fasick, Jr, Diana and Hope Fasick, Emily and Noelle Jarstad, Christopher Jarstad, Jr, Abigail, Anna, and Chase Jarstad, all of Racine; six great-grandchildren, Aalyiah, Elizabeth, and Ayden Fasick, of Racine, and Camden, Reece, and Liam Genther, of Michigan; lots of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, in Racine and Rhinelander.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Zimmerman, Sr. and her mother, Catherine Zimmerman; one brother, Richard Zimmerman, Jr; two sisters, Cheryl Zimmerman and Cindy Zimmerman; son-in-law, William Fasick, Sr; one granddaughter, Courtney E. Fasick; one great-niece, Lisa Strasburg; and special friend, John J. Haras.
Diana’s family extends special thanks to her niece, Jami (Zimmerman) LaRue, for all of your help.
We will celebrate Diana’s life on January 18, 2022, with a short service at 3:00 P.M. in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Road, Mount Pleasant. Diana you will be missed by so many. It wasn’t until John was sick that I was able to get to know you on a personal level and even afterwards you followed me and reached out to me when I lost both of my parents. I am so blessed to have known you and call you my friend. I am so happy I was able to come see you in September. You were absolutely an amazing woman with a heart of gold and the love you had for your family and many others was inspiring to so many us. Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers. I got Tracy (wink wink). Love you. May you Rest in piece Miss Diana. Love Jamie, Denny, Chase and Taytym.
