Diane "Lady D" Ivory

Service Details

Her Homegoing Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, July 9th at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be that day from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

 

Ms. Diane Ivory entered eternal life on Tuesday June 21, 2022, in Killeen, Texas. On December 29, 1970, she was born to Billie Sue Ivory and the late Richard Mitchell in Helena, Arkansas. At an early age she confessed her love for Jesus Christ in West Helena, Arkansas.

Diane relocated to Racine Wisconsin in 1985 where she graduated from JI Case High school and went off to Gateway Technical College. Diane resided in Racine, Wisconsin for 31 years where she worked as a nursing assistant for 24 years and owned a daycare for over 20 years. Diane has been a major influence in the Racine area and has helped numerous individuals raise their children. Diane was known in the neighborhood as “Lady D.” Diane loved to cook and feed others in the neighborhood.

Diane relocated to Killeen, Texas to be with her children and grandchild in 2019.  She worked there as a travel certified nursing assistant and medical assistant. Diane loved to travel, shop, and spend time with her family. Diane had a way with words, in her own language, and had  quite a sense of humor.

Diane is survived by her three children all of Killeen, Texas: Tanika Foster, James Jackson Jr., and D’Angelo Jackson; two grandchildren, Amere Martin of Killen, Texas and Naomi Jackson of Austin, Texas; her mother, Billie Sue Ivory of Killeen, Texas; one god-daughter, Nia Bell of Racine Wisconsin; ten siblings: Steve Ivory of Racine, Wisconsin, Pamela Valley (Tommy) of Dallas, Georgia, Kim Valley of Killeen, Texas, Richard Mitchell Jr. of California, Felissa Mitchell of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Artisa Jones of Racine, Wisconsin, Sheila Everson of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Stephanie Everson of Birmingham, Alabama, and Endora Smith of Louisville Kentucky; special sisters, Tankia Thompson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Sonya Everson of Birmingham, Alabama; grandmother, Mardell Ivory of Helena, Arkansas and friend, Joyce Ward of Racine Wisconsin; Diane has 31 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
