Sturtevant – Diane June Ernst, 73, passed away at home on Thursday, June 5, 2008. Diane was born in Racine on June 7, 1934, daughter of the late Martin and Ann (nee: Elias) Gratz. On November 27, 1950 she was married to Edward A. Ernst. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1993. Diane was an energetic woman who loved to laugh, and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was and avid Cubs fan, and like to make trips to the casino with her friends. She will be missed greatly by her children, Edward (Susan) Ernst of Sturgeon Bay, Terry (Adalsor Valero) Ernst of Sturtevant and Venezuela S.A., and Laurie Ernst of Sturtevant; grandchildren, Molly (Tony) Kleiman of Milwaukee, Alison Ernst of Sturgeon Bay, Karla (Scott) Docken, and Melissa Ernst both of Madison, and Nicholas Ernst of Racine; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and good friends, including Barbara Schultz, Marlene Schueppler, and Fern Johnson all of Sturtevant. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Joyce. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. On Wednesday, June 11, 2008 with Rev. Kara Baylor officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to The A.L.S.
