He was born in Milwaukee on November 22, 1932, the son of the late Conrad and Alma (nee: Wick) Dittlof.

Mr. Dittlof served his country as a parachute rigger in the 11th Airborne Quartermaster Company with the U.S. Army from February 1953 to February 1956. On Nov. 1, 1969, at the Guardian Angel Shrine in Las Vegas, NV, he was united in marriage to Marilynn Jankowski. He was an avid golfer and proud of his 230-yard hole in one at Whitnall Golf Course, as well as bowling a 299-game. Mr. Dittlof was especially proud of his vegetable garden, loved playing poker, shooting pool, riding motorcycles, and vacationing in Las Vegas with his wife of 52 years.

Surviving are his wife, Marilynn; two sons, Brian (Amy) Dittlof, and Eric (Lisa) Dittlof, all of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren, Loryn, Jonathan, Melodie, Addison, and Julia.
