A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum. A visitation for Elaine will take place at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass

MOUNT PLEASANT – Elaine M. Reesman, 93, passed away at her residence on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
She was born in Racine on August 31, 1928, the daughter of the late George and Johanna (nee: Landsberg) Miskinis. On April 7, 1951, she married Joseph Reesman Jr. at St. Mary’s Church in Racine. Sadly, he preceded her in death on February 4, 2021.
Elaine was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. While raising her family, Elaine was employed as Deli Manager at Goldblatt’s, then, with her husband, owned a Dairy Queen and later managed Shorehaven Apartments where she was known by the children living there as “Grandma Elaine”.
She enjoyed her trips to the casino, baking, and reading books.
Elaine is survived by her children, Barb (Bob) Helbling of Burlington, Sharon (Michael) Drasen of Racine, Judy (Michael) Barrera of Kansasville, Pat (Bruce) Moore of Mauston, Sue (Peter) Gosbee of Mount Pleasant, Sally (Bill) Hansen of Greensboro, NC, Peggy Fergus of Caledonia, Joe (Denise) Reesman III of Sturtevant and Ed (Cindy) Reesman of Sioux Falls, SD; her 24 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Joanne Reesman and Barb Janecky; her brother-in-law, Jim Reesman, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Megan Barrera; her son-in-law, Mickey Barker; her siblings, Delores Ostermann, Betty Boeger, Sr. Maureen Miskinis, and Danny and Donnie Miskinis; her in-laws, Joseph and Ida Reesman Sr.; sisters-in-law, Frances Gryczkowski, Mae Eisenbart, and Carole Simmert, and her brothers-in-law, Vern, and Jake Reesman.
