Service Details

His funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory at 4:00 P.M.  with Pastor Cortez Wilson officiating. There will be a visitation in the funeral home from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services.

Emanuel “M.J.” Wilson Jr., 65, of Racine, was called Home by his Loving Savior on Saturday, April 2, 2022. He was born in Tunica, MS on November 03, 1956, the son of the late Emanuel and Addie May (nee: Lipscomb/Robinson) Wilson Sr.

He attended Rosa Fort Elementary School until he moved to Chicago in 1970. In 1980 he moved to Racine. Emanuel attended church at Wayman AME Church.

Emanuel had been employed by, Goodwill Industries, Warren Packaging, and Douglas Car Wash. Emanuel enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, dominos, listening to the blues, joking, dancing, fishing, gardening, and helping other people. He was a huge Green Bay Packer Fan. He was loved and cared for by many and will be deeply missed.

Surviving are his two sisters, Jeanette (John Allen) Herndon, of Racine, and Christine Lipscomb, of Milwaukee; two brothers, Earl Wilson, on Manitowoc, WI, and Lowresta Wilson, of Sheboygan, WI; brother-in-law, Donnell Garrett; stepchildren, Tina (Anthony) Sims, Anthony Jamison, all of Racine, and AnnJeanette Jamison, of Milwaukee, goddaughter, Shontaya Mundy, best friend, Albert Dunn, who was like his brother, and close family friend, Haven Smith. His nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, Emanuel was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Garrett, Elizabeth Wilson, and Queenesta “Queenie” Wilson; and a brother, Samuel Wilson.
