
Kenosha – Evelyn Joyce Potts, 82, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015. She was born in Cumberland City, Tennessee, daughter of the late Arthur and Grace (nee: Smith) Burns.
Evelyn was united in marriage to the love of her life, Herman Eugene Potts, on November 19, 1947. Herman preceded her in death on May 13, 1995.
Evelyn loved travelling with Herman. They especially loved taking trips together to Las Vegas. Above all, Evelyn loved her family dearly and treasured the time spent with them.
Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Joseph (Anita) Potts, Mitchell “Bobo” (Vickie) Potts, Tami Potts, Brian (Connie) Potts; grandchildren, Joshua (Melissa), Donita (Tom), Sabrina, Wade (Jennifer), Amanda (Jason), Malina; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn is preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Owens; brothers, Joseph Burns and James Burns.
A private celebration of Evelyn’s life was held by her family on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Evelyn was buried the same day at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Somers.
