Gordon J. Coopman Jr.

Nov 27, 1968 – Apr 27, 2026

Gordon James Coopman Jr, age 57, of Mount Pleasant, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 27, 2026. He was born on November 27, 1968, in Kenosha to Gordon Coopman Sr and Patricia Jones.

Gordy will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his hard work ethic, he traveled the world building, repairing or taking down Nuclear Power Plants for Westinghouse and PCI. He had a very bright mind on building different things or remodeling just about anything.

Gordy loved his “other half” of 16 yrs, Amy Clark, and she returned that love. He is survived by his 2 sons, Gordon Coopman lll and Nathaniel Coopman; his mother, Patricia Jones; his favorite (and only) brother, Jeff (Cheryl) Coopman; sisters, Linda (Joe) Heim, Sandy (Rick) Roberts; numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

There will be no service per his request.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, your love was heartfelt. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
As I walk through this season of sadness, my heart is still thankful — because I had a chance to know the incredible person that you were. I will always love you Gordy. You were the light to the darkness. My love, you finally got one of your wishes and I called you “Master”. The look and smile you gave me will be forever in my mind. I knew you wanted to tease your brother on that one. I miss you dearly babe.

Testimonials

Thank you for your attention to detail

Thank you so much for your staff’s gentle, patient, and thorough management of my nephew’s memorial service yesterday. It was run to perfection, and we couldn’t be more pleased. From the beautiful slide show transitions to the quality audio system to the easels, pedestals and Kringle…all details were impeccable and appreciated.
