I will forever be grateful for my friendship with Bobby. My fondest memories all start with Bobby’s famous line: “I’ve got a good idea”. Those words led to countless fishing or golf adventures and always included a great meal. I’ll miss our spaghetti dinners the most. Thoughts and prayers to Greg, Lindsay and family.

I looked up to Bob as a boss, but more importantly, as a friend. It was the best job a young golfer in highschool could ever hope for. Like so many people, I’ll miss you Bob. You were a legend in your own right, and will never be forgotten.

God will be making more birdies now that Bobby has arrived at Heavenly Hills Country Club. Bobbie was not only a great player, but also a great teacher of golf. When I took lessons he knew how to keep the mood light and the lessons simple. I left the lessons with a smile on my face after Bobby fixed me up. He was also a master golf club maker and built my wife a fairway wood years ago that she still uses today. I am also thankful that while my son was in high school he worked for Bobby at the Academy learning about life, how to swing the club, and how to fish. Our family’s deepest sympathies to Bobby’s entire family.

You always had a smile on your face and was kind enough to offer my son his first job at 15. I was blessed to have had a couple golf lessons from you and wish time would have allowed for more. You touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Dear family and friends, I’m very sorry for your loss. Many of us have experienced the death of a loved one. At 1 Corinthians 15:26 it says “And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing. ” I hope this scripture brings you comfort.

My deepest condolences to Greg, Lindsay and Sharon. I have known Bob for many years and considered him a friend for life. Despite the profound sadness I feel, I have many fond memories that include being in each other’s weddings, Greg’s and Jake’s baptisms, Pub and Grub days, Fourth of July’s in Racine with the kids, pool league in Kenosha, and watching Monday night football together the night John Lennon died. We have lived in Florida the past twenty-six years and on occasion I would stop by to see him when in town. I enjoyed that last visit with Bob and it will forever remain in my memory.

It been six years now, wow the years go by so fast I’m 14 now turning 15. I can’t believe you been gone for six year it feels like yesterday I was still at the golf watching the golf channel on the the tv. Everyday I always think about you and just wonder why. Why would you want to leave ur family with grief and sadness wondering if we did something wrong. I just miss my grandpa so much and I wish he was here to see how much we have grown, I still get jealous when I see two little girls with there grandpa hug him and telling him they love him. And am just suck her looking at old videos or pictures. I ur watching over us, but it not the same as being right next to us as I write this I remember that you only know me so far as still 8 year old running around and be wild and it breaks my heart to know that you can’t know me as the 14/15 year old I am today. I really miss you grandpa I love you so much.

    Love, Brooklee

Testimonials

Thank you so very much for the exemplary care that you provided for both our mom and dad. Your family is extremely kind and exudes much empathy towards others. You and your staff display much professionalism with great talent and attention to detail. Mom and dad were always very particular in their appearance. Mom would say, You are leaving a lasting impression of yourself with someone to remember you by. Your parents taught you boys well; be very proud of that! Love on them, as death is so very permanent.

Holly and I are officially orphans now. It is people like your family and David Huck being there for us, that bring comfort when you are going through one of the most difficult challenges life throws at you.

I thank God every day for our Ostergaard family and will always cherish the memories.

Love you,

Jody Burlingame Wagner
