A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, 3:00pm, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street in Union Grove.
Jeannine M. Cross, 93, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023. She was born in Hayward, WI on September 29, 1929, daughter of the late Earl and Rose (nee: Chatterson) Miller.
Jeannine was united in marriage to John Edward Cross on January 30, 1982. She worked as a claims clerk for the Social Security Administration until her retirement in 1987. Jeannine enjoyed flowers, gardening, attending social events, and was also a dog lover. Jeannine was a 30 year member of the Eagles Club and was also a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.
Jeannine is survived by her grandson, Michael Thomas; daughters-in-law, Sona Thomas, Sandy Thomas; siblings, Evelyn (Richard) Herrick, Frances Bredeson, Earl C. Miller, Margaret (Duane) Harebo, Joseph Miller; lifelong friend, Delores DeNashal; and other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to her parents, Jeannine is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Cross; son, Daryl W. Thomas; and brothers Leland, Franklin, and Marshall Miller.
