Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (1100 Erie Street) on Thursday, September 21, 2023, for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  

 

The celebration of his life and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Juan Camacho officiating. 

 

 

Se invita a familiares y amigos a reunirse en la Iglesia Católica de San Patricio (1100 Erie Street) el jueves 21 de septiembre de 2023, para un velorio de 10:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m.

Racine – Jesus Palomares Gomez, 74, passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa on September 15, 2023.

He was born in León, Guanajuato, Mexico on August 16, 1949, the son of the late Victor and Bernardina (nee Gomez) Palomares.

Mr. Palomares was a longtime baker with Lopez Bakery in Racine.  He attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and enjoyed dancing and watching football on tv, especially his favorite team, Club León.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Alba (nee Zuniga) Palomares; his seven children, Alfredo (Luz) Palomares, Victor (Imelda) Palomares, Jesus Palomares, Marilu (Jose) Marquez, Ismael (Paola) Palomares, Elsa (Christian Rivera) Palomares, and Mario (Cateline) Palomares; his 30 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his brother and sisters, Jose, Paula, and Augustina Palomares; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jesus E. Palomares on January 18, 2022.

Racine – Jesús Palomares Gómez, de 74 años, falleció en el Hospital Froedtert en Wauwatosa el 15 de septiembre de 2023.   Nació en León, Guanajuato, México el 16 de agosto de 1949, hijo del fallecido Víctor y Bernardina (de soltera Gómez) Palomares.   El Sr. Palomares fue panadero durante mucho tiempo en Lopez Bakery en Racine. Asistía a la Iglesia Católica de San Patricio y disfrutaba bailar y ver fútbol por televisión, especialmente su equipo favorito, el Club León.   Le sobreviven su amada esposa, María Alba (de soltera Zúñiga) Palomares; sus siete hijos, Alfredo (Luz) Palomares, Víctor (Imelda) Palomares, Jesús Palomares, Marilú (José) Márquez, Ismael (Paola) Palomares, Elsa (Christian Rivera) Palomares y Mario (Cateline) Palomares; sus 30 nietos; 5 bisnietos; su hermano y hermanas, José, Paula y Agustina Palomares; así como muchas sobrinas y sobrinos. Le precedió en la muerte su nieto, Jesús E. Palomares, el 18 de enero de 2022.
