John Frank Berardi, beloved son, christian brother and friend to many, passed away on August 12, 2025, at the age of 76, due to a tragic car accident.
Born on October 4, 1948, to Anthony and Beverly Berardi, and named after his youngest uncle also John Frank. John grew up with a passion for learning and community. He graduated from Wm. Horlick High School in 1966 and went on to serve his country by joining the US Marine Corps. With endless energy and ambition, after the military, he went on to develop a career in sales which spanned over four decades, during which time he made many friends along the way.
John was a devoted son to his mom, Bev, caring for her until her passing this past spring. While John had no siblings, he had a very large family of friends that were his true brothers and sisters, and he cherished these longtime friendships. An avid golfer and ebike enthusiast, John found joy in biking the countryside and making meaningful connections with those around him, always spreading the love of Jesus. Last summer, he biked 10,000 miles in just 3 months. He also knew where all the good sushi spots were and was always on the alert for a few more undiscovered places.
If John had any lasting word to leave for his loved ones, it would be how his life became a testament of God’s love once he accepted Jesus Christ and lived for God’s promise. (John 3:16)
He is survived by his aunt and uncle, Bill and Amy Anderson, cousins, and many very dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Bev Berardi of Racine.
A special heartfelt thank you to all of the Emergency Responders and the many volunteers and witnesses that tended to John after the accident. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. A thank you to Bill and Amy Anderson and Bonnie Conner for coordinating and arranging for John to be returned home to his final resting place, although we know his soul is with his Savior Jesus Christ. And thank you to the US Marine Corps for the dignity and honor given to John and his family. He was a true patriot and loved God and his country. Semper Fi!
