Memorial Suggestions

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the family.

Lynn Marie Rodriguez, 61, passed away at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa on August 14, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born in Racine on June 27, 1960, daughter of Harold Schram and Carol (Née: Greeley) Barnett.

Lynn was united in marriage to the love of her life, Michael Peter Rodriguez, on November 21, 1980.

Lynn attended Horlick High School.  She later obtained her GED and then graduated on the Dean’s List at Gateway Technical College in Food Service Management.

Lynn was a wonderful wife and mother.  She was an amazing seamstress, cook, and also loved to bake Christmas cookies.  Lynn enjoyed playing darts, pool, cards, or any game where she could be competitive.  She never bragged but strategically beat you on a regular basis.  She had a dry and witty sense of humor that could make people think twice and laugh.  Above all, Lynn loved her family tremendously and will be dearly missed.

Lynn leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of over 40 years, Michael Rodriguez; daughter, Katherine “Katie” (William Vaughn) Rodriguez; son, Jesse (Felicia) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Julianne Rose Garcia, Jessica “Jess” French, Jesse Rodriguez, Jr., Hannah; father, Harold Schram; sister, Michele “Mickey” (Robert) Kovac; brothers, Mark Schram, Michael Schram, George Schram; father-in-law, Raymond “Ray” Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Lynn (John) Swanson; brothers-in-law, Ricky (Diana) Rodriguez, Dennis Jardina; lifelong friend, Elizabeth Johnson; dedicated canine companion, Guido; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends too numerous to mention.

Lynn is preceded in death by her mother, Carol Ann Barnett; infant sister, Vicki Schram; maternal grandparents, Alan and Florence Greeley; mother-in-law, Patricia “PK” Kunaschk; canine companion, Angel; and feline companion, Moose.

A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the family.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to the staff at Aurora – St. Luke’s Hospital, Aurora Zilber Hospice, and Nurses, Blessing and Sarah, for the love and care given to our family during this difficult time.

My beautiful friend, Lynn, passed into everlasting life without pain and oxygen. She was my best friend growing up in Racine…Lynn was as perfect as God’s children could ever wish to become. My family moved us up north due to the violence in Racine back when me and Lynn were just becoming teenagers. It was so very difficult to leave Lynn at that time…but, nothing like it is now. I sob like a baby now as she passed one day before I was able to get to her. Lynn was the epitome of what God wanted for all others to be like…she was perfect to say the least…It is so difficult to let her go…she is a Godsend for all of the lives she touched and will forever be an example of what we always wished everyone to be. No Goodbyes, Lynn. Only see ya later…❤❤❤

Testimonials

Michael,

First, let me start out by saying you were a God sent working with me for many years in preparations for my mom’s Homegoing Celebration December 7, 2024.  Even though this was our first time meeting in person, I felt like I already knew you.  Michael, you demonstrated  professionalism, empathy and, your warmth was surprising for me considering your role as a Funeral Director. Your attention to every detail, patient and support has made this process much easier for my family and me. I trusted you and you helped me find closure in a moment of great sadness, and for that we’re eternally grateful. I appreciate the time and energy you put into ensuring everything ran smoothly considering I reside in a different state.  Michael, my mom would have loved you and our family is forever grateful for your unwavering dedication and support during our season of grief.  May the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. (Numbers 6:25)
