Mount Pleasant – Patricia Ann (nee: Storbeck) Boetcher, age 88, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded with the love of her family, on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Patricia was born on September 23, 1936, to the late Robert “Bob” and Violet “Vi” (nee: Slotsvig) Storbeck. She was a 1954 graduate of Washington Park High School. Patricia went on to attend Teachers Community College in Union Grove and taught in a one-room school in Racine County.  At the same time, she was also employed at the Piggly Wiggly on Taylor Ave as a part time cahier.  It was here that she met a handsome grocery bagger named Ron Boetcher.

On July 12, 1958, in Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Patricia was united in marriage with the love of her life, Ronald R. Boetcher. When they began their family of 5 daughters, Pat left the workforce to be a loving and devoted full-time mom. Years later, after the girls were older, Pat went back into the workforce as an early childhood teaching assistant with Racine Unified School District at Garfield School, from where she retired.

Among her interests, Pat enjoyed crafts, woodworking, painting, reading and solving word searches. Above all, she loved nothing more than being together with her entire family.

Surviving are her five daughters, Raeanne (James) Kaiser, Dawn (Kurt) LeMay, Rhonda (Daniel) Factor, Debra Bradley and Amy (Abe) Pondikati; 10 grandchildren, Marc, Daniel, Amanda, Ryan, Holly, Jonathan, Samantha, Jordan, Erika and Lauren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Boetcher; nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends – too numerous to mention all by name.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Boetcher (passed away May 6, 2019); Ron’s Parents, John and Helen Boetcher Sr., infant brother, Robert Storbeck; sister, Kathryn Nordstrom; brother-in-law, John Boetcher; sister-in-law, Charlene Boetcher; and nephew, Thomas Boetcher.

A memorial visitation will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

A heartfelt note of thanks to Horizon Hospice, especially Lisa and Jodi, for the compassionate care and support given in our mom’s time of need.  A Special Thank You to Debbie and Raeanne for taking care of Mom.

My deepest sympathy to Pat’s family! My granddaughter Ashley will be forever grateful for Pat’s early help at Garfield School. She was helpful in identifying her hearing problems, allowing her to successfully navigate through school and become a successful young lady. Thanks Pat, so much.
    Love and Peace, Nick Thielen
