Service Details

Services celebrating Pedro’s life will be held on Thursday, November 6th, at 4:00 pm, in Draeger-Langendorf funeral home with Pastor Manuel Lozano officiating. Military honors will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday, November 6th from 2:00-4:00 pm.

Pedro L Murillo “Pete”, age 95, of Racine WI, passed away at home on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

He was born in Chicago Illinois on January 3, 1930 to the late Luis and Petra (nee: Lamas) Muro Murillo. Beginning at age 17, he worked at JI Case for 50 years until his retirement.

Pedro was an army veteran and served in the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Maria Murillo (Hernandez) in Waukegan in 1953. They had six children, Della Alvarez (Joe), Danny Vidales, Ray Vidales, Jane Rodriguez, Peter Murillo, Eddie Murillo (Eva), 9 siblings,16 grandchildren Angie A.M, Jerry, Michael, Paul R, Ruby, Tom, Damien, Peter, Angie M, Mario, Paul T, Patricia, Eddie, Louie, Renee, and Johnny. Also many great, and great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces, and other family members.

Pete was greeted in heaven by his parents, Luis & Petra; beloved wife, Maria; Son, Danny; grandchildren, Jerry & Renee; and many other family members and friends.

Among his interests, Pete looked forward to solving the problems in this world with his buddies at Hardee’s every morning; walking, gardening, working on cars and many other projects, and traveling with Maria, especially to Texas, California and Mexico. He was also the barber, to family and friends.

Services celebrating Pedro’s life will be held on Thursday, November 6th, at 4:00 pm, in Draeger-Langendorf funeral home with Pastor Manuel Lozano officiating. Military honors will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday, November 6th from 2:00-4:00 pm.

A heartfelt note of thanks to Pedro’s caregivers and nurses from Compassus Hospice, and to our beautiful family and wonderful circle of friends for the compassionate care given in our time of need.
