Racine – Randall James Pfeffer, age 75, passed away at his home on May 8, 2024

Randy was born on May 27, 1948 in Racine, to Louis and Ruth (Miller) Pfeffer.  He earned his apprenticeship in hydraulic repair, first as an employee of Mining Equipment.  He then began a lifelong career with American Motors, retiring from Chrysler.

Survivors include his two children, Jenny (John) Mahoney, and Jeff Pfeffer; brother Bill (Marge) Pfeffer; step sisters and brother, Carolyn Schilz, Rudy (Jan) Miller, Diane Van Patten, Sue (Bill) Hammel, and Cindy Miller; step-grandson David Mahoney; step- great-grandson Jacob Mahoney; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

As a child Randy was shocked by the tragic loss of his beloved mother, Ruth.  He was also preceded in death by his father Louis; step-mother Lillian Pfeffer; brother Rick Pfeffer; and brother in-law Roger Schilz.

On October 6, 2021 Randy suffered the loss of his sweetheart and companion, Jane Maccaux (nee Jensen).  They spent many happy years together, enjoying relaxing on a beach, old cars & Corvettes, rides on the Harley, walks in nature, and happy afternoons on their back deck.

Per Randy’s wishes, a service will not take place.

Rest in Peace Randy! I am sure you and Jane are together holding hands watching a beautiful sunset on the beach. We will take care of Jenny from here. She is special to us!

Testimonials

Joan Schrader and family

We want to thank Mike for the kindness and special attention he gave us for our mother. Marcella Conley. He came in the middle of the night himself to pick her up and take her to the funeral home. For the things that had to be taken care of, he told us not to worry; that it would be taken care of by him. Thank you also Mike for singing at her funeral, especially her favorite song, Amazing Grace. Thank you and all of your staff at Draeger-Langendorf.
