Reatha Mae (Martin) Ramsey passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2019 surrounded by her beloved family.

She was born September 13, 1939 in Taylor, MS, the  daughter of Curtis and Lellar (nee: Carrothers) Martin.

Reatha was a member of Shiloh Church of God in Christ.  Reatha enjoyed cooking, rummaging, doing puzzle books, going to church, and spending time with family.

She worked at Western Publishing for several years doing janitorial services.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Davis (Marvlee) Martin, Geneva Campbell, Jennifer Ramsey, John (Tashara) Ramsey, Darnell (Kesha) Campbell, and Marissa Ramsey.

Reatha leaves behind her Godchildren, Sherry (Deoris) Felt, Derion (Lucy) Williams along with 20 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 50 great-great grandchildren; as well as her siblings Curtis (Pat) Martin, Joel (Faye) Martin, Ossie Hillard, Frances (Willie) Ramsey, Hubert (Terry) Martin, and Lelia Carrothers; her sisters-in-laws, Jessie Martin, Julia Martin, Barbara Martin and a host of special family and friends Lorene Willis, Shirley Mooney, Elise Shelton.

Reatha was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Lellar Martin; her children, Earl Davis Martin, Johnnie Mae Martin, and Janice Carrothers; great granddaughter, Nyarai Armstrong; her brothers,  Carvin “Monk” Martin, Edward “Rick” Martin; her sister, Shirley Martin and sister-in-law, Dorothy Martin.
