Memorial Suggestions

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

Mount Pleasant – Robert F. Sfasciotti, 75, passed away on February 6, 2023, at Ascension – Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee.  He was born in Kenosha on May 18, 1947, son of the late Joseph and Lillia Sfasciotti.

Bob graduated from Bradford High School in 1965, received his liberal arts degree from Marquette University in 1969, and received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1972.

Bob loved his family tremendously, including his four-legged canine companions, Sophie and Sway.  He attended Grace Church in Racine for many years. Bob was a car enthusiast and loved attending car shows with his step-son, Chad.  He was especially proud of his Alfa Romeo that he loved driving.  Like many attorneys, Bob loved arguing (especially in defense of his liberal views).  He was an advocate of “never stop learning”.  To the very end, Bob took classes at University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee to broaden his horizons.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Gina Sfasciotti; step-son, Chad Siebenaler; sister, Jean Ciura; and best friend and confidant, Deidre “D” VanHeirseele.  In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Sfasciotti.

A memorial celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, 5:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 2:30pm until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ascension – Columbia St. Mary’s for the love and care given to Bob and his family during this difficult time.  The family would like to thank D. VanHeirseele for the dedication to Bob’s practice over the years, her friendship to Bob, and her continued support of the entire family.

So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing and regret we did not reach out over the last few years. David and he were best friends all through school. Bob is/was our daughter Senja’s godfather.
So pleased he was able to attend our 50th wedding anniversary party. We will continue to cherish our many memories of him.

Bob was a good friend to me. He helped me and my children out when we really needed it. He helped me out a few times. Then when my sister needed a lawyer he kindly took her case for me and helped her out. Yes Bob had a big heart. RIP Bob, and thank you.

Bob was s great friend since grade school. Over the years he was a great person to bounce ideas, concerns etc with. Will miss him greatly. Even with his health struggles he always moved forward with his life. Peace

I never actually met or spoke with Bob but I noticed him at church often. He appeared to be uncomfortable or in pain many times yet made the effort to walk to near the front of the sanctuary to sit. I sensed a kindness about him and he was always smiling! I frequently prayed for healing for him. I pray now that he is at last peacefully with his Savior.

Bob represented me years ago, he’s a person I never forgot. He was writing something when I walked in his office, he asked me to explain what I needed as he kept writing, then the phone rang, he answered it, telling me to keep talking, he could do three things at one time, he didn’t miss a beat.
