Racine – Robert “Wayne” Nichols, age 72, passed away at Home Harbor in Racine on Sunday morning, June 8, 2025.
Robert “Wayne” was born in Kentucky on June 11, 1952 to the late Robert Maurice Nichols and Wilma (nee: Spratt) Nichols. He lived in Louisville, Kentucky until 1990 – when he moved to Racine. Wayne was employed as a photographer at Promotions Unlimited for 23 years, retiring in 2012.
Wayne was an extreme sports fan of all the Wisconsin teams – Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers; attending grandchildren’s events especially basketball games; and Christmas was his favorite time of year, in which for him, began annually in October.
Surviving are his brother, Roger (Misty) Nichols; sons & daughters, Eddie Nichols, John Nichols (Donna), Renee Nichols and Mary Beth (David) Rogers; bonus daughters, Tabbatha Clayborn and Tiffany (Jose) Larson; grandchildren, Jada Forsee, Josie Hibbs, Sophie Rogers, Tyler (Rhonda) Townsend, Alex (Cassidy) Hanson, Ashton (Kenzie) Townsend, Jayden Jackson, Jenna Larson, Benjamin Larson Jr., Jacob Nichols, Hannah Nichols, Holly Nichols, Kelsey Nichols and Courtney Nichols; 4 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by sister, Retha Marion; brother-in-law, Kenny Marion; sister-in-law, Kathy Nichols; and niece, Erica Nichols.
In accordance with Wayne’s wishes, a private celebration will be held at a later date.
A special note of thanks to the wonderful staffs at Home Harbor Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care & support given in Wayne’s time of need.
