Robyn Lee Vanko

Oct 31, 1952 – Apr 20, 2024

Service Details

In keeping with her wish a private service was held.

Robyn Lee Vanko, 71, of Racine, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Ascension-All Saints, on Saturday, April 20, 2024. She was born on October 31, 1952, the daughter of the late LeRoy and Cora (nee: Anderson) Breneman, and was raised in Poynette, WI

On April 12, 1986, in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Phillip Vanko. Robyn was employed by JVL Laboratory/Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints Laboratory Services until her retirement. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, here in Racine. Robyn enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing volleyball, softball, and curling. She relished the times she spent working in her flower garden, as well as the numerous hours she had with her many pets.

Surviving are her husband of thirty-eight years, Phillip; two sons, Aron (Jennifer) Geurts, of New Berlin, and Nathan (Angie) Vanko, of Monticello, WI; five grandchildren, Nora, Maxwell, and Louis Geurts, Olivia, and Riley Vanko; three brothers, Scott (Cheri) Breneman, of Wausau, WI, Todd (Sally) Breneman, of Elk Mound, WI, and Tracy (Suzy) Breneman, of Orfordville, WI. Her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends, also survive her.

Robyn was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Cora. The family would like to give a “special thanks” to the entire ICU staff at Ascension-All Saints for their outstanding  compassionate care.
