Sandra Jean Larsen

May 24, 1950 – Aug 7, 2008

Racine- Sandra Jean Larsen, 58, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Thursday, August 7, 2008. A lifetime resident, Sandy was born in Racine on May 24, 1950 to the late William R. Thompson and Marion L. (nee: Fromm) Porter. A 1968 graduate of William Horlick High School, she went on to proudly earn her degree from Gateway Technical College as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Sandy served our community as a nurse at various medical facilities including Lakeview Terrace in Burlington. She was a member of First Church of God. Sandy thoroughly enjoyed visiting with family and friends; and spoiling her feline companions. Surviving are her daughter, Terri (Trista Neal) Meyers; granddaughter, Autumn Hoover; brother, William R. (Peg) Thompson, Jr.; sister, Lynn (Marc) Tower; step-mother, Joy Thompson; niece, Theodora Thompson; nephews, Blake Thompson, Jacob and Jeremy Tower; aunt, Irene Fromm; uncle, Gene (Donna) Fromm; and many other special relatives and friends, including her beloved cat, Abby. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her sister, Cheri Thompson; grandparents, Elsie and Otto Fromm; and Russell Thompson; and nephew, Ross Thompson. In accordance with Sandy’s wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service of remembrance will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 10:30 am. Inurnment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 am.
