Julie’s Personal Touch

Mt. Pleasant – Signe Ann Weill, 78, passed away in Kenosha at Azura Memory Care on Sunday, November 26, 2017. She was born in Gary, Indiana on June 19, 1939, daughter of the late Roy and Dorothy (nee: Newcomb) Vallin. Signe was a proud graduate of Butler University. On August 6, 1966 she was united in holy matrimony to James Weill in St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Signe loved children and the opportunity to teach in the Racine Unified School District for 30 years. She was always friendly, outgoing, and loved talking with friends and strangers alike. She also enjoyed reading, nature walks and feeding the birds, living in Arizona following her retirement. Signe was a faithful member of St. Lucy Catholic Church.

Signe is survived by her devoted husband, James Weill of Mt. Pleasant; daughter Vickie (Jim) Noll of Waterford; son Joe (Paula) Weill of Huntington, Indiana; grandchildren Thomas, Daniel, Ashley, and Matthew; brothers CDR Richard (Angie) Vallin, USN, Retired of Racine, and Robert (Jane) Vallin of LaGrange, Illinois; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Services for Signe will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Visitation for the public from 4pm-6pm, immediately followed by her funeral service at 6pm with Rev. Javier Guativa officiating. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association have been suggested.

So many beautiful memories growing up. You introduced me to the curling iron and did our hair when I would sleep over….you always told me I looked like a princess….this little memory means so much to me….our trips upnorth….the 4th of July cookouts with family meant everything to me…so many more beautiful memories I cherish in my heart….I will love and miss you Aunt Signe….rest in paradise “ma dear”.
