Rickie Money Canady

Jan 16, 1955 – Jan 1, 2014

~~Rickie Money Canady, age 58, passed away on January 1, 2014 at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital in Racine, WI.  He was born on January 16, 1955, in Little Rock, AR to Charles E. and Mary J. (nee: Weatherspoon) Canady. 
Rickie grew up in Chicago, IL and was baptized at an early age.  Although his life was cut short, he was well loved.  Rickie was a go-getter, who always maintained a positive attitude.  He set many goals in life and wouldn’t stop until he reached them.  He attended Wendell Phillips High School in Chicago, IL. but he received his G.E.D. and became a skilled welder while in Fox Lake, WI.  In his early years he was employed by The Sun Times and The Chicago Tribune both in Illinois.  After becoming a skilled welder, Rickie became employed by Racine Metal – Fab, where he worked until his health began to fail.
Rickie leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife; Mydersteen Canady of Chicago, IL, children; Vickie Stanciel, Tonya (Edmund) Evans, both of Racine, Felicia (Tim) Stubbs, Reann (Eddie) Brown, both of Chicago, Torra (Will) Battee, of Greenwood, MS, Richard Bryan, Tyane Stoves of Milwaukee, WI. and Steven Stokes of Racine, nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters; Louise (Harold) Zachary of Chicago, Phyllis (Sam) Canady, Nadine (Scott) Canady both of Racine, brothers; Andrew Haywood, Jimmy, Edward, Phillip, James(Sue), Larry, Harry (Tonya) Canady all of Racine, a special Goddaughter; Tonia Canady, his special girl; Sariyiah Canady, dear friends; Sherry Stokes and Debbie Abbott, as well has a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles other loving relative and countless friends who will miss him dearly.  Rickie was preceded in death by his mother; Mary J. Canady, a sister; Carolyn Boykins, grandchildren Ronnise Penny and Jamaal Stanciel and a nephew Markey Canady.
A celebration of Rickie’s life will be in the funeral home on Thursday, January 9th, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held in the funeral home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
