Marilyn Ann Sullivan

Sep 18, 1944 – Feb 4, 2015

Winter – Marilyn “Mimi” Ann Sullivan, 70, received the promise of eternal life on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.  She was born in Eau Claire on September 18, 1944, daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret (nee: Moe) Haug.

Marilyn was united in marriage to the love of her life, Thomas Richard Sullivan, on August 1, 1964.  Tom preceded her in death on February 23, 2013.

Marilyn was a nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital until her retirement.  She enjoyed crafts such as crochet, knitting, and scrapbooking.  Marilyn also was an avid reader.  She visited the library often and would regularly read an entire book in one day.  She and Tom used to love to spend time outdoors together hunting grouse.  She was a member of the Southern Sawyer County Sportsman’s Club as well as being a longtime card-carrying member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).  Marilyn was a longtime financial supporter of veteran’s organizations.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Sharon (Jay) Dunn of DeForest, Tommy (Terri Stickland) Sullivan of Franksville, Maureen “Trini” (Steve) Ehlert of Randolph, Mikey (Theresa) Sullivan of Caledonia; grandchildren, Liz, Chelsea, Danielle, Grace, Zach, Jay, Jacob; great-granddaughter, Emma; brothers, David (Sue) Haug of Ringle, John (Char) Haug of Chippewa Falls; brother-in-law, Jim Sullivan of Eau Claire; sister-in-law, Mary (Ken) Smith of Sturtevant; nieces, nephews, and other relatives too numerous to mention.

A memorial celebration of Marilyn’s life will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2015, 11:00am, at Bratley Funeral Home, 15571 W Co Hwy B, Hayward, WI, 54843.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.

The family would like to send a heart-felt “Thank You” to the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Hospice and the staff at All Saints for the love and care given to our mother during her time of need.  Your kindness will not be forgotten.
