Sally Jane Huizenga

.  A private service was held for the immediate family.

 

Sally Jane Huizenga, 77, passed away, unexpectedly, on Thursday, August 6, 2020. She was born in Rhinelander, WI on September 23, 1942 the son of the late Logan and Evangeline (nee: Mitchell) Huebner.

Sally was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School, Class of 1960. On March 7, 1964, in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Kenosha, she was united in marriage to George R. Huizenga. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2020.  Sally was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. She had been employed by Hauper’s Pharmacy in Union Grove and J.C. Penny Co. until her retirement.

Sally is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Peggy) Huizenga, of Wauconda, IL, John (Janelle) Huizenga, of Madison, and Debbie (Wayne) Worden, of Mt. Pleasant;  grandchildren, Taylor Huizenga, Emma Huizenga, Braelyn and Leighton Worden; brothers, Roger (Margaret) Huebner, of Saint Charles, IL, and Denny (Georgette) Huebner, of Rhinelander, WI,  nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Sally was preceded in death by her grandson, Hayden Huizenga, sisters, Heloise Baehman, Ruth Raether, Charlotte Ploeger, and Midge Rosek; and brother, Duane Huebner.

    I know Sally from Epiphany Church, I last talked with her & her daughter in the parking lot of the church several weeks ago. Very sweet, kind, and gentle lady.

    We have lots of memories of our motorcycle trips and many memories of a long time friendship. You will be greatly missed.
