Jul 4, 1964 – Dec 5, 2021

Service Details

A Veteran’s service and memorial celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Julie Abhold Newberg,57, passed away on December 5,2021 after a three and a half year battle with stage four lung cancer. She fought valiantly but God has carried her home to be with him, pain free and at peace. Julie was born on July 4, 1964 in Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin, which fit her firecracker personality; lighting up every room she entered with her amazing sense of humor and contagious laugh, making friends with every person she met along the way.

Julie had numerous roles in her lifetime including Army Veteran from 1982-1991, top performing salesperson for a heavy machinery company for many years until retiring in 2015, best friends and soulmate to Carl for thirty plus years, and loving mother to her two daughters Elizabeth(Frank) Pope of Lombard and Elise(David) Chewning of Itasca. Her favorite and most cherished role was Nana to her three grandsons Dominic, Colton, and Carmie.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfrid and Beverly Abhold, and her older brother Steven Abhold. Julie is survived by her siblings; Richard Abhold of Sheboygan Falls, Catherine(Mike) Bos of Waupaca, Lenny(Traci) Abhold of Fond du Lac, Laurie Abhold of Sturtevant and Brian(Denae) Abhold of Mount Calvary.  Julie always held a special place in her heart for Lauren and her spoiled puppy Zoey.
