Service Details
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
A service celebrating her life and Homegoing will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joseph Thomas officiating.
A private interment will take place at Green Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha.

Marie Grose was called home to be with the Lord January 7th after blessing us with 100 beautiful years of life.
Marie Gross was born to the late Ratliff and Bernie Lee (Stewart) Brantley in Leake County, Mississippi. Upon moving to Kenosha, WI as a young adult, she was united in marriage to Henry Grose Sr.
Marie was affectionately known as the Mother of the Church to the New Brighter Day Baptist Church community. And best known for her love of baking and her signature lemon pound cake.
Marie leaves to cherish her memory her surviving sibling Evelyn Brantley Jordan, her son Johnny Earl (Shirley) Grose, daughter-in-law Irene Gross, God daughter Peggy, special nephew LeeDale Wright, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Marie is proceeded in death by parents Ratliff and Bernie Lee (Stewart) Brantley, her husband Henry Grose Sr., her son Henry Grose Jr., her siblings Margie Lee Brantley, Myrtha Lee Brantley, Winfred Brantley, James Brantley, Leewood Brantley, Verlie Mae Brantley, Dover Brantley, Charlie Wayne Brantley, Bobby Brantley, Shelvy Brantley, Willie Brantley, and her great grandson Timothy (Tim Tim) Nesbit Jr.
