Christopher John Klein

Oct 7, 1974 – Feb 22, 2025

Service Details

There will be a Memorial Visitation for Chris in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 3:00PM – 4:30PM. A time of sharing will take place during the last 15 minutes of the visitation.

Christopher John Klein, age 50, passed away after an extended illness at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha on Saturday, February 22, 2025.

Chris was born to Richard and Janel (nee: Nolta) Klein on October 7, 1974 in Round Lake Beach, IL. Growing up, Chris enjoyed fishing and camping which continued into adulthood.  In high school, Chris was in wrestling and football all 4 years.  He was always proud of the fact he took 2nd in state for wrestling and 1st  in national for a carpentry competition.  After graduation, he decided to become a carpenter, in which he excelled throughout his trades training.  After an accident, Chris decided to become a superintendent for construction and proceeded to work for Interserv Corporation. Chris was remodeling hotels in Times Square when he met and married his spouse, Michelle (nee: Mitchell) Klein in May 2009.  Chris also proudly remodeled the Disneyland Resort hotels in Anaheim, CA.  Chris and Michelle traveled to multiple states together, each doing their respective occupations until 2011 when they settled down in IL. Chris worked as an office furniture installer (Jerry Noris LLC and Preferred Office Installations) until his passing.  During this time, Chris started a family and bought a house.  Chris continued his love of the outdoors during this time and kept busy with his hobby farm raising chickens, ducks, and geese and growing a large garden.  Chris was a loving father to his daughter, Olivia and was always happy to talk about her to whoever would listen.

Chris is survived by his wife, Michelle and daughter, Olivia.  Chris also is survived by his sisters, Renee (Joseph) Klein-Nadeau FL and Tina (Aaron) Klein-Smith FL.  Chris also survived by multiple nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Chris was preceded in death by both his parents and grandparents.

Ron has been reminding me of the times he and Chris went fishing together and what a good time they had . Also we appreciated so much the help Chris gave us when he and Ron built our shed. Chris is the reason the shed is square.🙂 Such a great guy.

Gone too soon… I will miss my brother greatly and our phone conversations about everything and anything. My heart is breaking but there’s comfort with memories I have of our childhood together- his fishing tales, his engineering talents with fort building, and his gentle heart, I hope you and Olivia can find the same comfort with your own memories. Love you both! ❤️

Testimonials

November 13, 2019

I just can’t get over how beautiful everything was for my mom’s funeral. She had a rough last four weeks but your amazing team totally did her justice! I was pretty confused during that hard time, but Brian, you made sure that all the “I”s were dotted and all the “T”s crossed. For that, I thank you. I also would like to thank the amazing team of makeup artists. My mom looked beautiful.
