Bonnie Lee Krug

Jan 10, 1942 – Dec 29, 2013

Bonnie L. Krug, 71, received the promise of eternal life on Sunday, December 29, 2013.  She was born in Racine on January 10, 1942, daughter of the late Paul and Frieda (nee: Fehlberg) Albrecht.

She was united in marriage to George Krug on January 29, 1983.  George preceded her in death on June 27, 2013.

Bonnie retired from S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc., in 1999 after 21 years.  She was also successful as a sales consultant and manager with Princess House Products and won many awards.  Bonnie was a fun-loving, vibrant woman who earned the love and respect of anyone she would meet.  Her friendship was treasured by many neighbors and friends.  She learned to drive a motorcycle at age 55 and obtained her motorcycle license.  Bonnie even was daring enough to go skydiving with a neighbor last year.  She had a giant soft spot in her heart for animals.  Her spirited Jack Russell terrier, Mitzie, and her cat, Mya, will miss Bonnie tremendously.  She was a supporter of the Wisconsin Humane Society and H.O.P.E. Safehouse in Racine.  Bonnie was dedicated to her family and spent the last five years caring for her late husband, George, during his illness.  She was so proud of her children and absolutely adored her grandchildren.  Bonnie will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Bonnie leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Keith (Lisa Hawkins) Christensen, Robyn (Robert) Kolesar, all of Racine; grandchildren, Hannah Lee Kolesar, Grace Elizabeth Kolesar, a new grandbaby on the way; step-children, Kristopher (Julie) Krug, Karl Krug; step-grandchildren, Alex Krug, Jordan Langhof, Payton Langhof, McKenna Langhof; brothers, Robert (Arliss) Albrecht, Timothy (Patti) Albrecht; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to her parents and second husband George, Bonnie is preceded in death by her former first husband, Warren Christensen.

A celebration of Bonnie’s life will take place on Friday, January 3, 2013, 12:00pm, at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 South Green Bay Road, with Rev. David Echelbarger officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.  Private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.  The family has suggested memorials to H.O.P.E. Safehouse, Wisconsin Humane Society of Racine, or Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church.

Testimonials

March 13, 2025

Thank you so very much for the exemplary care that you provided for both our mom and dad. Your family is extremely kind and exudes much empathy towards others. You and your staff display much professionalism with great talent and attention to detail. Mom and dad were always very particular in their appearance. Mom would say, You are leaving a lasting impression of yourself with someone to remember you by. Your parents taught you boys well; be very proud of that! Love on them, as death is so very permanent.

Holly and I are officially orphans now. It is people like your family and David Huck being there for us, that bring comfort when you are going through one of the most difficult challenges life throws at you.

I thank God every day for our Ostergaard family and will always cherish the memories.

Love you,

Jody Burlingame Wagner
