Dianna Lee Meddy

Oct 5, 1942 – May 29, 2015

RACINE – Dianna Lee Meddy, 72, passed away at Racine Hospice House on Friday, May 29, 2015.

A lifelong resident of Racine, Dianna was born on October 5, 1942 to the late Robert and Sadie (nee: Meyer) Bergman.  On May 8, 1959 she married the love of her life, Robert Meddy.

Dianna retired after many years as a school bus driver.  It was very common to find her with a book in her hands; most likely reading a Clancy or King novel.  However she was happiest when she was in the presence of her grandchildren, whom she adored.

In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by her sons, Rob Meddy of Kenosha, Scott Meddy of Racine; her grandchildren, D.J., Eddie, Nichole, Ryyan, Chloe, Dylan and Joseph; her great grandchildren, Taylor, Austin, Danica, Eden, Nova, Brayden, Izzy, Ireland, Olive and Amelia; her sister, Pam (Steve Rannow) Trevino and her nieces and nephews, Tom Trevino, Stephanie Rannow, Mark, Kelly and Mike Lake.  In addition to her parents, Dianna was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ed Terry and by her sister, Gloria (Jack) Lake.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home for a visitation on Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm.  The celebration of her life and funeral service will be in the funeral home on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with an additional visitation from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.   Her interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

Testimonials

Linda

After the passing of our loved one, the time came to make the arrangements for his funeral and we couldn’t have asked for anyone more kind and caring as Mark was. He picked up on all the little details and things we held close to our hearts and made the celebration of this wonderful man’s life very special. Even playing taps along with the honor guard, Mark we can’t thank you enough…our heartfelt thanks go out to you and the staff.
Sincerely, THE GENE GRABHER FAMILY
