In Loving Memory of

Elder Craig Fields Sr.
April 17, 1954 – January 3, 2026

Elder Craig Fields Sr., age 71, was called home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2026.

Born on April 17, 1954, in Waukegan, Illinois, Craig was raised in Racine, Wisconsin—a community that shaped his life and to which he faithfully gave back.

Craig was a proud graduate of Park High School, Class of 1972. A gifted athlete, he achieved the honor of being an All-American college wrestler and football player. His love for athletics and mentorship led him to a lifelong calling in teaching and coaching, where he served with passion, integrity, and genuine care for the lives entrusted to him.

Most importantly, Craig was a devoted man of God. He loved the Lord deeply and lived his life anchored in faith. He was a committed member of Christian Faith Fellowship Church of Racine, Wisconsin, where he worshiped, served, and grew in Christ. His walk with God was evident in his character, his compassion, and the way he loved others.

Craig was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alice Thurman; grandfather, Allen Thurman; mother, Beverly Fields; father, Leon Fields; and sisters, Beverly Lynn and Pamela Fields-Turner.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Karen Fields; his brothers and sisters, Stephanie, Leonard, Leona, Greg, and John; his children, Ben, Andre, and Craig Fields Jr.; his stepchildren, Tiffany and Jerodd; his bonus child, Jovon; a very long list of beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and all those whom he accepted as his own, loving them as family and guiding them with wisdom and grace.

Craig will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, caring brother, proud grandfather, faithful servant of God, and a mentor to many. His life was a living testimony of faith, perseverance, and unconditional love.

Family and friends are invited to meet at Faith Fellowship Church of Racine (3303 Nicholson Road in Franksville) on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, for a visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.  The celebration of Elder Craig’s life and Homegoing will take place at 11:00 am with Pastor Willie Scott officiating.  His interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

Going back many years with Craig as a 2nd grade class mate. A quiet boy and
most unassuming. Both Craig and I were
fortunate to have one of the great teachers Mrs. Bryce of that era.

Go as far back with Craig as my 2nd grade classmate. Craig being a quiet,
unassuming boy. We were both fortunate
to have Mrs. Bryce as our teacher. She
    brought love to our classroom.
