Frank Mosley III, age 28, was an aspiring singer and songwriter whose life, filled with extraordinary promise, was tragically cut short in Milwaukee on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Born in Waukegan, Illinois, on December 18, 1997, to Frank Jr. and Frances (nee: Cleare) Mosley, Frank—affectionately known as “Little Frank” by his family—demonstrated remarkable gifts from an early age. With an elevated IQ and a natural curiosity, he accomplished feats that amazed those around him, such as building a running engine by the age of 11. Frank’s talents were not limited to academics or mechanics; he was a true natural, excelling in everything he set his mind to, whether it was school, sports, or music.
Music became Frank’s greatest passion. Under the pseudonym “BFE RASTA,” he published numerous songs that touched listeners and are still available on Apple Music and YouTube. His creativity extended beyond music—Frank was nearly finished writing a book, a project that even many close friends and family were unaware of, further testament to his God given ability.
Frank’s dedication to self-improvement was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a fitness enthusiast, recently earning his personal trainer certificate, and inspired others with his commitment to health and wellness. Yet, above all his achievements, Frank’s greatest joy was being a devoted father to his beloved three-year-old son, Josiah King Mosley. His love for Josiah was radiant and unwavering, and he embraced fatherhood with pride.
The loss of Frank Mosley III is not only a profound tragedy for his family and friends but also for the many lives he touched with his kindness, talent, and infectious spirit. His story is a heartbreaking reminder of a future filled with potential, now left unrealized. Frank’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, and in the music and legacy he leaves behind.
Frank was a proud member of OVC (One Voice Church) 7506 25th Avenue in Kenosha, under the leadership of Pastor Lawrence L. Kirby ll.
Surviving are his broken-hearted parents, Frank and Frances Mosley; beautiful son, Josiah; grandmother, June A. Young; sisters & brother, Kimberly Mosley, Janice (fiancé, Timothy) Mosley, Robert E. Rogers III, Shaquita Douglas and Arielle (Leland) Claussen; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.
