Lester E. Blick

Jan 5, 1915 – Feb 23, 2008

Lester E. Blick, passed away in the Becker Shoop Center on Saturday, February 23, 2008. He was born in Brighton, IA on January 5, 1915 the son of the late Immanuel and Alethea “Minnie” (nee: Armine) Blick. On September 22, 1938 he was united in marriage to the former Katherine Kapfer who preceded him in death on August 26, 1993. Lester had been employed by the J.I. Case Co. for over 43 years. He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church and the Case 20 Year Club. Lester enjoyed woodworking and working with his hands. Surviving are his daughters, Frances “Jean” (Rick) Clark and Alethea “Anne” Blick all of Racine; granddaughter Tiffany (Christopher) Bruett and great grandchildren Jared and Isabel all of Wauwatosa; sisters, Rose (Chuck) Zinkula of Rogers, AR, Bessie Kosenia of Cedar Rapids, IA. His nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive him. In addition to his wife and parents, Lester was also preceded in death by an infant son, 3 brothers Harold, George and Cloyce Blick and by his brother-in-law Edward Kosenia. His Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27th, with Rev. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Service. Private entombment will be held in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family has suggested memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, St. Catherine’s High School or the Jane Cremer Foundation.
