Mallory Anne Pinney, 75, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. Born on September 17, 1948, in Chicago, to the late Donald and Loretta (nee Leisch) Hurd, she graced this world with her presence, touching the lives of all fortunate enough to have known her.

Mallory devoted her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her dedication to her work illustrated her compassionate and nurturing nature. Mallory was an avid lover of nature and adventure, finding solace in RV camping with her beloved husband, who she shared countless memories with as members of the Good Sam Club and Dairyland Hobos. In her free time, Mallory expressed her creativity through painting in acrylics, leaving behind beautiful pieces that captured her vibrant spirit and imagination. Known for her infectious sense of humor and warm, loving personality, she will be remembered for her genuine affection and kindness that she showered upon all who crossed her path.

Mallory’s memory will be cherished by her daughters, Kaycee (Gregg) Keating, Shay (Rayme) Sorenson; grandchildren, R.J. Sorenson, Brett (Ann) Sorenson; great-grandchildren, Mia Sorenson, Krisjan Sorenson, Michael Sorenson, Lorenzo Sorenson; sister, Elizabeth Leisch; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. In addition to her parents, Donald and Loretta, Mallory is preceded in death by her husband, Glen Pinney.

A public visitation to honor and celebrate Mallory’s life will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, 11:00 am until 1:00pm. A burial ceremony will take place on Thursday, August 29, 2024, 1:00pm, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, where Mallory will find eternal rest.
