Memorial Suggestions

The family has suggested memorials to Ascension Living Lakeshore at Siena or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Myrtle M. Larsen, age 103, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

Myrtle was the daughter of the late Adelore and Blanche (nee: La Piere) Carrier. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Donald Larsen, on June 18, 1955, at Holy Name Catholic Church.

Myrtle was a graduate of Park High School.  She faithfully and honorably served her country in the Navy as a Pharmacist Mate stationed at a San Diego Naval Hospital during World War II. Myrtle was a homemaker raising 3 children.  She enjoyed reading and trying new restaurants with her family.  Myrtle had an adventurous spirit. She took a hot air balloon ride and went ziplining in her 90’s and received her first tattoo at 99.

Myrtle leaves to cherish her memory; children, Diane (Tom Wiggins) Larsen of Loudon Tennessee, Karen Larsen of Racine, Keith (Katie) Larsen of Kenosha; grandchildren, Mike Larsen of Saint Paul Minnesota, Sara Larsen of Kenosha; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention. In addition to her parents, Myrtle is preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine and two brothers, Leonard and Harold Carrier.

The family would like to extend a “Thank You” to the staff at Ascension Living Lakeshore at Siena for the care given to Myrtle during her time of illness.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

My husband, Tom, died on Jan. 24, 2015. From that life-changing day and still now, Gary and his sons have been at my side taking care of me, advising me, and guiding me with their sensitive, caring, and efficient expertise. I have heard from friends and family how perfect and wonderful the funeral service was (it was a blur for me), and I have the beautiful obit, memorial booklets, CD rom of slide show, celebration candle, portrait, and even personalized thank you cards to provide memories and comfort during difficult days ahead. My heart is full of thanks and appreciation to Gary Langendorf and his entire family.
