A private service and burial will take place at Mound Cemetery in Racine, Wisconsin

Ella Berger, age 94, passed away peacefully, just shy of her 95th birthday, on February 5, 2026, at The Highlands at Newcastle Place in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Born on February 28, 1931, in Racine, Wisconsin, Ella graduated from Park High School and worked in the Racine area until her marriage to William K. Berger on June 20, 1953. Together, Bill and Ella shared more than 70 years of marriage. Over the years, they lived in Racine, Wisconsin,  Iowa, and Shorewood, Wisconsin, before settling in New Berlin, Wisconsin, where they resided in their home for more than five decades.

Ella is survived by her devoted daughter, Diane (William) Dubinski; her son, Joseph (Gloria) Berger; her grandchildren, Michelle (Steve) Gnacinski, Matthew (Anne) Dubinski, Kevin (Annah-Grace) Dubinski, and Zachary Dubinski; and her great-grandchildren, Hunter, William, Jerome, and Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Berger; her parents, Einar and Anna (née Nelsen) Jensen; and her sister, Viola (née Jensen) Buehler.

Burial will take place at Mound Cemetery in Racine, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church of the donor’s choice.
