Richard “Dick” Borel, age 84, passed away at Ascension Living Lakeshore at Siena on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Dick was born in Racine to Charles and Carmella (nee: Infusino) Borel. Following his high school years at St. Catherine’s, Dick went to faithfully serve our country with the United States Marines. On September 23, 1967 he was united in marriage with Roberta “Bobbi” Poppe. Dick retired from SC Johnson Wax after many years in product development. Among his interests, Dick was an avid golfer; an enthusiastic walker; loved to travel and spend time in Florida during the winter months with Bobbi; in his spare time worked on cars and was quite the handy man in completing home projects.

Surviving are his loving wife, Bobbi; children, Lori (Scott) Drier, Michael (Janine) Borel, and Susan (Daniel) Verwey; grandchildren, Justin, Stephanie and Cameron Drier, Logan and Dylan Borel, and Alexandria, Carter and Sydney Verwey; sister, Mary Ann (William) Toutant; sisters-in-law, Marcia (Mike) Pavia and BJ (Bob) Harding; brothers-in-law, Kenny (Gloria) Poppe, John (Margie) Poppe, Steve (Sue) Poppe, and Robert Young; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carmella; Bobbi’s parents, Kenneth and Henrietta Poppe; and sister-in-law, Pam Young.

Miss you already Dad! Thank you for teaching me so many things and always being there for me when the chips were down. I remember our fun times together on the golf course and as a kid playing pool and ping pong on the weekend nights. Thank you for being a good father and being there for us and also providing our family a great life! You were a good Dad that gave us a great life. I will forever be grateful to have a Dad like you.
    God Bless and eternally peace!
    Love your son,
    Mike

Testimonials

February 20, 2019

Mike and his team did a fabulous job with the memorial service for our Mom. It was perfect and he made the process easy for me to go through during such a difficult time. She had chosen the funeral home before hand, and she made the right choice. The service was beautiful, simple, and sweet. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
