Memorial Suggestions

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances would be appreciated.

Robert W. “Rob” Kleczka, age 53, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024, with his family at his side.

Rob was born in Racine on March 27, 1971, a son of the late Mitchell and Eldora ( Pagel) Kleczka.

He was self employed as a painter for many years.

A member of New Life Lutheran Church, Rob enjoyed going to the family cabin up north, attending car shows with Laura, fishing with Josh, and attending Megan’s orchestra concerts.

He also enjoyed hanging out with his “bud” Liam, going out for rides in his Dodge Ram truck, grilling out, and watching cop shows.

Rob is survived by his life partner and soulmate, Laura Wakefield; his brother, Bill (Kelly) Kleczka; a sister; his extended family, Kathy Wakefield, Marie (Steve) Janiak, and Megan and Josh Janiak. He is further survived by his cat, Tabby, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with his parents and pet companions, Teddy and Sweetie, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mitchell  Kleczka,  Patrick Kleczka, June (Charles) Besler, Kathleen Tomasini, and Sue Towne.

My family and I would like to thank you and your staff for all the kindness and sincere expressions of sympathy that you extended to us during the loss of my son, Todd Swanson. We appreciate all the extra special things you did to help us through this very difficult time. We didn’t have to think ahead, we just had to be there while every little detail was taken care of by you and your staff. This made an impression on everyone that came, and I will never forget it. Thank you from all of us.
