A Charity of One’s Choice

RACINE – Mrs. Theresa Caroline Weiss, 89, passed away at the Villa at Lincoln Park on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.

She was born in Chicago on March 27, 1928, the daughter of the late Fred and Caroline (nee: Gamauf) Pegarsch.  On October 30, 1954, she married Gordon H. Weiss.  He preceded her in death on May 20, 2014.

Mrs. Weiss worked for many years as a book keeper for Carson Pierre Scott and the Boys Club of America.  She was a member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church and enjoyed her quiet time coloring and being in the company of her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Michael) Baker of Algonquin, IL; her son, Kenneth (Sherry) Weiss of Mustang, OK; her grandchildren, Christopher (Erica) Baker of Algonquin, IL., Bryan Baker of Fort Myers, FL; her brothers, Bob (Lois) Pegarsch of Milwaukee, Fred (Jill) Pegarsch of Bedford, TX; as well as nieces and nephews.

A private family service will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Theresa’s name have been suggested to a charity of one’s choice.

Theresa’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Villa at Lincoln Park as well as Hospice Alliance for the loving and professional attention that she received while under their care.

Testimonials

Comfort, blessed and confident

I can’t say enough good things about Michael and his staff. They go above and beyond what is required of a funeral home. He has always met my desires and goes beyond what I ask. He always makes it a little more special. He has blessed me and my family many times and comforted us when we are aching because of our loss. I am always confident that he will do his very best, and he always has.
Thank you Michael and staff. May you all have a Blessed Christmas season and New Year
