Timothy Clyde Moore

Aug 28, 1954 – Mar 1, 2016

Racine – Timothy Clyde Moore, known to all as “Timmy", 61, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, March 1, 2016.  He was born in Racine on August 28, 1954, son of the late Paul and Angeline (nee: Longo) Moore, Sr.

Timmy was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Janet Lynn Ohlson, on August 27, 1977, at St. Lucy Catholic Church.

Timmy graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in 1972.  He was employed by Chrysler for 30 years until his retirement.  While working for Chrysler, he also owned several flooring businesses over the years including Mr. Carpet, Uptown Carpet, and Moore’s Floors. Throughout the years, Timmy loved traveling to numerous destinations such as the Virgin Islands, Mexico and his favorite place Cedar Key, Florida. He also was an avid card player of over 40 years. He loved playing Sheepshead and drinking red wine with his closest buddies. Above all, Timmy loved his family unconditionally and will be dearly missed.

Timmy leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 38 years, Janet Moore of Racine; son, Nathan Moore of Racine; daughter, Megan Moore, US Navy stationed in Hawaii; siblings, Patricia (Richard) Lindgren of Georgia, Paul (Lynn) Moore, Jr. of Racine, Michael (Joanne) Moore of Racine; nieces and nephews, Rich (Amy) Kenney, Jon (Nikki) Kenney, Heather (Jim) Cannon, Ashley Moore, Philip Moore, Christopher Moore, Daniel Moore, Logan Ohlson-Rippner, Nina Ohlson-Rippner; all of Timmy's Sheepshead buddies; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents, Timmy is preceded in death by his best friend, Darrell Kirnbauer.

A celebration of Timmy's life will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016, 12:00pm, at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia.

The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the American Red Cross for assisting Megan with her transportation home to be with her family during this difficult time.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

It has been a long while in business since I have experienced and witnessed someone be truly great at what they do. That was my experience with Mike and team. Above and beyond hardly encompasses their professionalism and compassion during our family’s bereavement.

Thank you most sincerely,
Jason C.
