Wayne Phillip Buisse, age 63, passed away at his home on Monday, August 05, 2024 after a years-long battle with chronic kidney disease surrounded by his loved ones.

Wayne was born in Racine, WI on December 12, 1960 to the late Phillip and Sally (nee: Blum) Buisse. After graduating from St. Catherine’s High School, Wayne went to work for Wolohan Lumber selling lumber and building supplies, a career he continued at multiple companies until his retirement from Bliffert Lumber in 2022. Also a successful entrepreneur, Wayne built many of the houses in Sturtevant through his company W.P.B Builders.

Wayne was a pillar of the community and his homes in Sturtevant, WI and Mission, TX were the meeting place for countless Packer games, happy hours, and impromptu gatherings. His greatest joys in life were spending time with those closest to him and cooking. An accomplished amateur chef and larger-than-life host, he made sure no one left his home hungry. Wayne loved to travel, often to Belize for the food, culture, and sunshine. He split his leisure time at home between snowmobiles in the winter and boating in the summer.

Surviving are his son Kevin (Jenna) Panke-Buisse, sisters, Linda (Alex) Ramos and Lisa Buisse (Dave Salas),  grandchildren Xander and Raina Panke-Buisse, nephew Jake (Jamie) Edgerly, grandnephew, Jase Edgerly, other relatives, and many friends.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 starting at 10:00 AM in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home with Memorial Services officiated by Rick Rogers at 11:00 AM.

The family request that, in lieu of flowers or cards, a donation be made in his honor to For the Love of a Boxer Rescue and Sanctuary (https://www.fortheloveofaboxer.org/copy-of-donate-sponsor).

I’ve known Wayne from way back in his Wolohan Lumber days…
Wayne would always tell you “the way it was”, whether it was a world view, or his view.
His pickles were legendary, along with his many adventure stories (I think he may have had some feline blood in his veins as it seemed he had more than 9 lives; right, cousin Mel)!
I owe him much gratitude for recommending me, for hire, to Ray Weisenbeck at Bliffert Lumber. Bliffert has turned out to be the best company I’ve ever worked for.
    Thanks Wayne.

Wayne (aka Buzz) was one special guy! Got to know him at Wolohan Lumber as a co-worker to find out he was the brother to a high school chum (Linda), whom we still keep in touch with each other. I have very fond memories of time spent with him over the years that will never be forgotten. I wish for all his family and friends contentment that he is no longer in pain, that he has risen to be reunited with his parents & also with his Lord & Savior. He has & will always have a special place in my heart! My condolences to his entire family, hugs across the airway miles. RIP to a dear soul!

Testimonials

December 1, 2023

My siblings and I recently had the unfortunate experience of having to plan a funeral for our beloved mother – Juana Munoz. During this difficult time, we were fortunate enough to come across a funeral home that truly went above and beyond what was expected. Their attention to detail and dedication to ensuring our comfort and safety throughout the entire process was truly remarkable. From the moment we stepped foot into the funeral home, we were greeted with warmth and compassion. The staff members, but specifically Mark was incredibly understanding and empathetic, making us feel at ease during such a challenging time. Mark took the time to listen to our needs and wishes, and his guidance and support were invaluable. One aspect that truly stood out was Mark’s meticulous attention to detail. He paid close attention to every aspect of the funeral arrangements, ensuring that nothing was overlooked. From the floral arrangements to the music selection, every detail was carefully considered and executed flawlessly. Mark even noticed that the temperature in the room was getting warm and promptly adjusted it to ensure our comfort. What impressed me the most was their commitment to our safety. Mark and his team took every precaution to ensure that our family and guests were protected throughout the entire process. From the funeral home to the cemetery, Mark made sure that all safety measures were in place, including providing hand sanitizers, and even arranging for additional staff members to assist with crowd control. Furthermore, Mark’s professionalism and organization was evident in every aspect of the funeral service. He coordinated seamlessly with the cemetery staff, ensuring a smooth transition from the funeral home to the final resting place. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence truly made a difference in our overall experience. In addition to their exceptional service, the funeral home also provided us with resources and support beyond the funeral itself. They offered grief counseling services and connected us with local support groups, which proved to be invaluable during our grieving process. Overall, we cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service provided by Mark, and broader, Draeger Langendorf team. Their attention to detail, commitment to our safety, and genuine compassion made a difficult time a little more bearable. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of funeral arrangements, as they truly go above and beyond to ensure that every detail is taken care of and that families are supported throughout . the entire process. – Epifanio and The Munoz Family
