Kenosha – Artis Mae Kantrail, 63, of Racine, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013, at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Kenosha. She was born in Racine on August 18, 1950, daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Ward.
Artis leaves to cherish her memory, her loving son, Darrin (Carla) Ward, Sr., of Racine; three grandsons, Maurice (Laquetta) Ward, Marcus Ward, Darrin Ward, Jr., all of Racine; granddaughter, Atavia Ward of Racine; four step-grandsons, Javares Richmond of Atlanta, GA, Javonte Richmond of Racine, Catheus (Katerina) Wilson of Oak Creek, Camryn Thomas-Walker of Lithonia, GA; 13 great-grandchildren, all of Racine; sister, Margaret (James) Brockman of Racine; two nephews, Shantane (DeDe) Marshall of San Diego, CA, Kendrick Brockman of Racine; two nieces, Carla Marshall, Tomeka Brockman, both of Racine; best friends, Edna Warren and Erma Jean Odem.
In addition to her parents, Artis is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Kantrail.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013, 10:00am until 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road. Per Artis’ wishes, cremation will take place.
