Dennis Patrick LaCanne

Aug 23, 1957 – Jul 28, 2016

RACINE – Dennis P. LaCanne, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

   He was born in Racine on August 23, 1957, the son of Richard and Genevieve (nee: Merriman) LaCanne.  He graduated from JI Case High School in 1975. 

   Dennis was employed by Styberg Engineering.  He always enjoyed racing cars at Great Lakes Dragaway and most recently, driving and showcasing his 2014 Camaro Hot Wheels Special Edition.  He also studied Tae Kwon-do Shuri-ryu. 

   Dennis is survived by his mother, Genevieve LaCanne; his brothers, Steven (Anne) LaCanne, Michael (Marianne) LaCanne; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Scott, Dennis and Brian.   He was preceded in death by his father, Richard LaCanne.  

   Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (6400 Spring Street) on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of Dennis’s life and funeral Mass with Rev. Terry J. Huebner officiating.  There will be a visitation in the church on Monday from 10-11 a.m.  A private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia.  Memorials have been suggested to the WFH – All Saints Cardiovascular Institute or St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
