Bristol- Helene Andersen, 84, passed away peacefully at Grand Prairie Health Center on Saturday, July 23, 2011.
Helene was born in Skreia, Norway on December 22, 1926 to the late Johannes and Magda (nee: Netum) Nergard. During high school, she became the youngest telephone operator in Norway. In 1948, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Arvid Andersen. They came to the United States in 1956.
Lutheran by faith, Helene enjoyed knitting and sharing her scrumptious Norwegian cooking / baking with her loved ones.
Surviving are her loving husband of over 62 years, Arvid; their son and daughter-in-law, Kai and Jill Andersen; adored grandsons, Kai-Erik and J.J. Andersen; and many other special relatives and friends.
Private interment will take place in Helene’s beloved home country of Norway.
