
Racine – June (nee: Heck) Revai-Kolonick; age 77; passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, following a courageous battle with cancer.
June was born in Gary, Indiana on May 23, 1937 to the late John R. and Olga (nee: Slesarenko) Heck. She received her education from Lakeside, Franklin Junior High and Washington Park “Class of 1955”. On November 26, 1955 in Pentecost Evangelical Lutheran Church, she was united in marriage with Joseph Romain Revai.
By choice, her main vocation in life was being a full-time mother but had also worked for O&H Bakery. June was a lifetime member of Pentecost Lutheran Church where she was active with the Ruth Circle. As a tireless volunteer, June provided end-of-life care with Hospice Alliance – Kenosha / Racine and Theda Care Hospice in Waupaca. Among her interests, she enjoyed watching real football (Soccer); gardening, sewing, crocheting, embroidery; and could make any gourmet meal – especially with a can of “cream of mushroom” soup. Above all, she loved spending every available moment with her treasured family.
Surviving are her children, Janice Hansen, Tom (Sue) Revai and David (Jennifer) Revai; grandchildren, Jackie Hansen, Bill (Kristen) Hansen, Tris (Matt) Davis, Abby Revai; Dakotah, Caleb and Kalista Revai; great-grandson, A.J. Hansen and was anxiously awaiting the birth of Tris and Matt’s child this coming August; sisters, Kathy Foss and Judy (John) Klapat; step-son, Jim (Julie) Kolonick; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Revai and Walter Kolonick; great-grandson, Adonis Hansen; sister, Gloria (Frank) Rock; and brother-in-law, Don Foss.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11:00 am in Pentecost Lutheran Church, 2213 Coolidge Avenue, with Rev. Luke Jacob officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 9:30 – 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.

I am very sorry for your loss. June was such a great role model for us all. She gave of herself in so many ways to her family, friends, church, and hospice.
