Manley W. Coey Jr.

Nov 18, 1936 – Sep 7, 2015

     Manely W. Coey, 78, passed away unexpectedly in Wheaton Franciscan Hospital Emergency Room on Monday, September 7, 2015. He was born in Ladysmith, WI on November 18, 1936, the son of the late Manley and Bernice (nee: Richardson) Coey Sr.
    On February 27, 1962, he was united in marriage to the former Phyllis Pekrul Coey. She preceded him in death on February 18, 2000.  He served his country with the United States National Guard.  Manley "Junior" had been employed by A.C. Auto Repair for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing Pinochle, shooting pool, and watching auto racing.
    Surviving are his children, Cindy (Daniel) Schlichting, of Murrayville, GA, Richard (Candace) Coey, of Warrensburg, MO, Anthony (Keri Haney) Coey, Rayne (Wayne) Thieme, Kevin (Wendy) Coey, Kelly (Joce Ramirez) Coey, Brian Coey, former daughter-in-law Dawn Coey, all of Racine; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; loving companion, Tracy Rogers, brother, Melvin (Jane) Coey, all of Racine, sister-in-law, Sue Coey, of Osseo, WI; brother-in-law Ted Gehrig, of Racine,  His nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive him. In addition to his wife and parents, Manley "Junior" was preceded in death by his son, Scott, twin brother, Morris, sister, Bonie Gehrig, and brothers, Wayne and Marlo Coey, and his former wife, Sondra. 
     His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, September 13th, at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will be in the funeral home Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A private burial service will be held in West Lawn Memorial Park on Monday. The family has suggested memorials to the American Heart Association
