Racine – Nora Muniz, 94, received the promise of eternal life on April 27, 2015. She was born in Donna, TX, on April 19, 1921, daughter of the late Phillipe and Juanita (nee: Coronado) Garza.
Nora was united in marriage to the love of her life, Jesus Muniz, Sr., on February 24, 1945, in San Antonio, TX. Jesus preceded her in death on December 9, 2003.
Nora leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jess Muniz of Racine, Gloria (Bob) Lucksted of Arkansas, daughter-in-law, Emma Muniz of Racine; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Josepha “Pepa” Ramos of Racine; nieces, nephews, and other relatives too numerous to mention.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nora is preceded in death by her son, Joe Muniz; daughter-in-law, Ginger Muniz; brothers, Robert Garza, Joe Garza, Tony Garza, and Gilbert Garza.
A celebration of Nora’s life will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015, 2:00pm, at West Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, 9000 Washington Avenue, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until the time of the service.
The family would like to send a “Thank You” to the staff at St. Monica’s and the staff at Becker-Shoop for the special care that they gave to Nora.
